We all agree where we ended. We completed through Joel 2:27. Where we disagree is where we begin next week. We learned that the chapters and verses are split differently in those translations based on the Hebrew versions and those based in Greek. For the Hebrew versions, which includes the Jerusalem Bible we will start with Joel 3:1, for those based in the Greek chapter and verses, which includes King James and (New) Revised Standard Versions, we will be starting at Chapter 2:28.

We read through Joel 2:3 this morning.

We finished Romans today! We started Joel and read through Joel 1:5 although I would recommend beginning again with verse 5 next week. “Wake up, you drunkards, and weep.”

Granted we did spend some time debriefing, last night’s “debate”, once we got started we read through Romans 16:16 and once we complete Romans we’ll be moving on to Joel.

We read through Romans 15:13 today.

We read through Romans 15:6.

After a rather free wheeling conversation, I think we ended at Romans 13:7. Whew!

Today we read Romans 10:1-13.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
